Discounts Terms Calculation Per Line Item
We’ve enhanced our discount capabilities to support line-item-level eligibility, providing more precise invoice discount calculations. This update introduces a new LINE ITEMS discount basis, allowing discounts to be applied only to eligible items, with shipping and tax included in the calculation if applicable. The Invoice Creation and Invoice by Balance APIs now feature a DISCOUNT ELIGIBLE field for granular control. This ensures accurate discount applications align with specific business policies that are a part of existing workflows.

Two-Factor Authentication for Personal Guarantees
To facilitate stricter verification standards guarding against fraudulent activity, Bectran has introduced a new two-factor authentication option for guarantors. To prevent applicants from completing PGs on behalf of another person, two-factor authentication is requested from the guarantor’s email or phone once the guarantor completes the PG form. These updates prevent applicants from entering unauthorized emails and ensure only the intended guarantor completes the PG, significantly enhancing security and legal validity.

Ability to Take Notes and File Claims within Invoice Views
We’ve streamlined the process for managing open invoices by introducing the ability to create claims or add file notes directly from the open invoices screen. Users can now select one or multiple invoices using a new multi-select feature on the left-hand side of the page with action buttons designed to deliver a familiar and intuitive experience. Depending on the claim settings, users can either apply actions across multiple invoices or focus on individual ones for line-item-specific claims. Selected invoices will pre-populate in the respective note or claim screen. This update eliminates the need to navigate away from the current page, improving efficiency and user experience.
Advanced Search within Credit Management
This update deploys an advanced search option to the credit management side of Bectran’s platform. Like its functionality in the AR management module, credit management users can utilize the advanced search feature to filter customers by:
- Customer Name
- DBA Name
- Address
- City
- State/Province
In Advanced Search, a new column labeled “Last Update” will display the most recent update date for applications tied to each record. If no updates exist, it will show the creation date of the application or incomplete app.
Custom Messages on Multijurisdictional and SSUTA Tax Forms
To aid customers unfamiliar with complex form requirements, we have implemented new customization options on the MTC, Tax Exempt and SSUTA submission forms. Users can now add guidance text at the top of the forms and tooltips beside the “Additional Business Group(s) Applicable” menu, ensuring customers receive clear instructions throughout the process. These features can be configured in the Custom Credit App menu under the Review/Edit section and are supported across all application types including:
- COD
- Credit Application
- Job Sheet
- Sole Proprietor
Additionally, SSUTA forms now require identification numbers for all selected states, ensuring compliance with standardized government forms while reducing errors and improving submission accuracy.
Multiple Message Templates for Decline Notices
This update provides users with the ability to create and manage multiple message templates for declined credit line notices. Emails can be customized for specific circumstances leading to a credit line denial, including whether the recipient is a new or existing customer or due to the detection of fraudulent activity.

Import Customer Notes in AR
We’ve introduced a new File Notes upload functionality within Customer Data Upload settings, enabling users to seamlessly migrate historical customer file notes and comments into Bectran via CSV. This update allows users to upload notes at both the account and invoice levels. With a maximum limit of 10,000 records per CSV, this feature simplifies the transition for clients by consolidating years of customer data into Bectran, ensuring continuity and efficiency in AR activities while maintain alignment with existing upload workflows.
